Our service is suitable for various types of general mixed light weight non-hazardous domestic and business waste, including household waste, garden waste, construction debris, and more. We prioritize eco-friendly disposal and recycling methods whenever possible.
The weight limits for each load size are as follows:
Mini Load: 100kg
Small Load: 200kg
Medium Load: 400kg
Large Load: 600kg
(Max load 700 kg – No large amounts of soil – stone – rubble)

Collections take place within 5 working days of the end date you select on the calendar below. You won’t be charged for any extra days while we’re arranging pickup. Yes. We prepare consignment notes and labels on your behalf, and arrange for them to be signed where required. You receive your copies — we deal with the rest.

In some cases, yes. Certain recycled oils, batteries, and solvents may attract a rebate depending on volume and material quality. We’ll let you know at the point of survey whether this applies to your waste stream.

That depends on your volumes and site requirements. Larger or more active sites typically receive monthly or fortnightly visits; we can also arrange more frequent check-ins where your operation demands it.
We source appropriate treatment, recycling, or licensed incineration outlets for every material we collect. We always pursue the most sustainable route available — recycling and reuse first, incineration only where necessary.
Skips can be dropped on a private property such as your garden or drive, or on the road outside your house.
North West Recycling offer a wait and load service, where the driver will wait while you load the skip.
Yes. A permit is required from the council. There is a small charge for the skip to be placed on the road. We would be happy to arrange a skip permit for you.
Skip vehicle sizes can vary a little but generally 2.75 metres or 9 feet will accommodate the width of the delivering vehicle. If your drive cannot accommodate this or there are other access issues then contact us and we will suggest an alternative. Please note that skips (especially when full) can be heavy and any damage potentially incurred is at your own risk.
Skips need to be level loaded – any oversized items may be removed to make safe the load. All of our skips are sheeted before removal. Overloaded skips cannot be safely or legally removed. Additional charges may be incurred for over-filled skips.
Customers are able to keep our skips for up to 14 days, or 2 months if a trade account is opened. If you do not call for a removal/exchange by the end of this period, an additional fee of £2 + VAT (skips) or £5 + VAT (ROROs) per extra day will apply.

We prefer 24 hours’ notice. However, if you call us early we can offer same day service for Carlisle CA1, CA2 and CA3 areas. For people who have a tight schedule, we will do out utmost to work around your requirements.
Skips are taken back to our state of the art fully licensed Waste Materials Recycling Facility where we divert 100% of waste from landfill. Where possible, any residual waste processed and sent to waste from energy as an SRF (solid recovered fuel) product. Hazardous waste is disposed of at compliant hazardous waste disposal sites.
