Cardboard is one of the most common recyclable waste materials we process on site.
We always look to get the best outcome for the waste received and how we handle and store cardboard is the most important factor in it’s recycling value.
The more structurally intact the cardboard the more reusable it is as a waste stream. Once it is wet or contaminated the potential recycling options are greatly reduced and its resale value is massively reduced.
Easy to handle and recycle, paper and cardboard are the earliest identified resources that need more sustainable resource management.
The paper collected or received on site is manually pulled out of the waste in the picking station or collected directly from our clients and partners. It is then processed and baled into 500kg mill size bales and sold within the UK into paper mills to be recycled into new paper products.
