Our purpose built 30-acre facility in the heart of Cumbria, represents a sustainable end to end waste solution all from one site. It includes:
We service everyone from domestic householders needing a skip for a DIY project to large housebuilders, business parks and local authorities with flexible and cost-effective trade waste bins and collections. Our service model is based on repeat business from satisfied customers, who know they get great value and a more sustainable solution to their waste.
Our purpose-built recycling lines are capable of processing of large volumes of waste material, 150,000 tons every year. The waste undergoes several processes to turn it into various products that can be used again in the building and manufacturing industries, and across many different outlets.
Following the recent investment in redeveloping our site’s infrastructure including new road layouts and weighbridges, our site can take in over 1,000 tons of waste per day. Open 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday, and now open on Saturday 7am to 12noon too.
The production of renewable energy sources represents for us a more circular journey in how waste is processed at our purpose-built facility. Any waste that cannot be recycled is recovered as Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF), a highly effective alternative fuel source.
The extensive and innovative recycling systems that we have at NWR means we can separate, cleanse and process more materials types and grades of material than ever before.
We are incredibly proud of our ability to recycle huge volumes of waste, which has grown year on year.
Through our on-site MRF we aim to recycle at least 50% of the waste we receive, and recover a further 48% into sustainable fuel sources, diverting as much waste as we can from going to landfill.
